Renault launches the Twingo Rive Gauche

Renault is introducing a new limited edition to its Twingo model: the Rive Gauche. Featuring the exclusive Eiffel Tower decorative motif and enhanced comfort, the special edition intends to make a link between the French capital and its art de vivre.

In its exterior the Twingo Rive Gauche features a sports front bumper, black headlamp backgrounds and front foglamps; an Eiffel Tower decorative motif on the foglamp surrounds, door pillars and door handle recesses; Pearlescent Black door mirror housings; Rive Gauche badging on the body sides and Moai wheel trims.

In the interior the limited edition Twingo has a dark charcoal trim with specific Maco upholstery, smart red rev-counter and speedometer bezels and a red Organizer Box ring.

Based on the Twingo catalogue's Expression equipment level and comfort-features include Automatic climate control, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, height-adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel, independently sliding rear seats, classic radio-CD with MP3 playback, steering column-mounted fingertip remote control, Bluetooth® and Plug & Music connectivity and audio streaming.

The special edition will be available with two different engines: the 1.2 16V LEV 75 and the dCi 65, with CO2 emissions of 114 g/km and 113 g/km, respectively. Both engines qualify for the French state's €500 eco-bonus subsidy.

With prices starting at 11,450 euros (in France), the Twingo Rive Gauche will be on sale only in France and Austria from June 10, with reservations having already opened. For the last three years the Renault Twingo has topped the small city car charts in France. In April the Twingo alone produced 7,100 new registrations.
