. The cars have an unbelievable 1,300hp and 1,004lb-ft of torque from a 7.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 with water-cooled intercoolers.
The Ultimate Aero XT puts that power down through a seven-speed sequential manual gearbox with paddle shifters. Total weight of the car is 2,800lbs. The engine, transmission, brakes and cooling come from the new SSC Tuatara.

that it is based on weighs just 50lbs less and has 50hp more. That means performance between the two cars should be roughly similar. The Tuatara accelerates to 60mph in 2.5 seconds and will cover the quarter mile in 9.75 seconds
"The demand for us to deliver additional Ultimate Aero's has been overwhelming. We have just raised the bar again by adding some of the cutting-edge elements from our Tuatara, to this very small production run of Ultimate Aero XT's,” said Jerod Shelby, Founder, Lead Designer and CEO of SSC.
SSC says that each of the Ultimate Aero XTs will be painted a unique color chosen by the buyer, and this color will not be used on any SSC cars again.
