GT4. The cars will be on sale to race teams later this year for GT4 racing including the Britcar series and British GT Championship.

The GT86 GT4 is powered by the 2.0-liter boxer engine from the road car with the addition of a turbocharger. The car has not been homologated into GT4 yet, but power will be between 360hp and 400hp depending on the balance of performance. The team is aiming for the car to cost less than £100,000. Buyers have to provide a donor car to be upgraded.

Other upgrades to the car include and FIA-certified roll cage, air jacks, six-speed paddle shift sequential gearbox, adjustable suspension, racing brakes, 18in racing wheels and GPRM-built front bumper, splitter and rear wing. Air conditioning will be an option.

The next step in the car's development will be doing final development in the UK before presenting the car to GT4 organizer SRO for homologation.

“We have gone all out to engineer quality and reliability into the GT86 as well as competitiveness, and the result has provoked a lot of interest from all around Europe," said GPRM director Gary Blackham.

GPRM has already taken one order for a GT86 GT4. The car is not officially being supported by Toyota Great Britain, but it is providing technical support to the team. GPRM is focusing on UK buyers for now.
