US Ford Sales Best in Over a Decade

Ford has quite a year in 2011. The blue oval sold more than 2 million vehicles in the US for the first time since 1997. It also means that Ford is the best selling automaker in the US, and it is the first time that any automaker in the US has topped 2 million vehicles since 2007. 

“Ford’s lineup of high-quality, fuel-efficient cars, utilities and trucks continues to attract more and more new customers. With gasoline prices tracking higher than last year, customers continue to move toward smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles, whether they are passenger cars or utilities,” said Erich Merkle, Ford’s sales analysis manager
