The V8 S model gets a 21hp (21ps) and 15lb-ft (20Nm) of torque boost over the standard Continental GT, but it also gets a lowered and tightened suspension.
The engine is the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from the standard Continental GT but with more boost. The only available transmission is an eight-speed automatic from ZF.
The V8 S coupe takes 4.3 seconds to reach 100km/h, 0.3 seconds faster than the standard Continental GT coupe. The coupe has a top speed of 192mph (309km/h), compared to 188 mph (303km/h) for the standard coupe. The car has the same fuel economy, emissions and range as the the non-S counterpart.
The chassis gets lowered by 10mm and 45% stiffer spring rates in the front and 33% stiffer in the rear. The suspension bushings are 70% stiffer. The steering has been recalibrated to be more direct, including changes to the stability control system.
There are also a few aesthetic changes for the car including a new front splitter, side sills and rear diffuser. It rides on 20in wheels unique to the model.
The only change inside is a contrasting center strip along the roof lining.
Options include a sport exhaust and the Mulliner Driving Specification pack that adds 21in wheels, allow pedals, diamond-quilted leather interior and tinted lights.
