The BMW 130i (E81) was unveiled in 2011. It belongs to 1 Series's 1st generation, with the code name E81 / E82 / E87 / E88. This version is powered by a front-mounted petrol 2996cc engine with a power output of 258 hp at 6600 rpm and a maximum torque of 310 nm. The 130i (E81) features the biggest engine offered. The straight 6 engine featured on the rear wheel drive 130i (E81) is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission. The performance of the vehicle is reflected on the top speed of 250 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in 6 seconds. This compact-version is the fastest version of this series.
