The top of the range 650i gets its power from a 4.4-litre V8 engine with a maximum output of 407hp, at 6,400 rpm. Maximum torque of 600 Nm at 4,500 rpm enables the 650i to reach the 100km/h mark within 4.9 seconds, with a top speed fixed at 250km/h. In this case provisional combined fuel consumption is said to be 10.4, with CO2 emissions set at 243g/km.
In order to offer extra cabin space to its passengers, the 6 Series Coupé features a 75mm longer wheelbase. It is also 39mm wider but five mm lower to give it a sportier look. The lines of this new interpretation of the traditional BMW Coupe have been inspired by the movement of waves. It features flowing lines and harmonious curves that give the car an athletic stance combined with an elegant appearance.
At the front the large and slightly forward-slanting BMW kidney grille is the dominant element. The grille also emphasizes the sportive look of the car and its’ “shark nose” character. All the contour lines of the bonnet converge towards the kidney grille creating a V-shape which is continued by the contours of the headlights, kidney and wide air intake.
