The new M6 uses the same 560hp, 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 from the F10 M5, but it cuts weight with details like a Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic roof.
The engine the M6 is the same 560hp that is available in the M5. It is a 4.4 liter, twin-turbo V8 with direct injection. The engine produces 680Nm (502lb-ft) with a redline at 7,200rpm. The engine in the coupe propels the M6 to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds and to a top speed of 250km/h.
Matched with a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with launch control, the coupe consumes 10.3l/100km of fuel.
The M6 gets a new three-section lower intake with black-slat kidney grill and M-gills in the fenders. It claims that the mirrors and side skirts have been aerodynamically optimized. There is a functional rear diffuser with twin tailpipes. It rides on 19in wheels or optional 20in wheels. Adaptive LED headlights come standard.
Even though this is the highest trim 6-series, there are still a variety of options available. BMW has anything from a head-up display and night vision available to navigation with real-time traffic information.
