Derek Buckler had a passion for cars and decided to make his own automobile in 1947, the DDP 201. After achieving relative success in motorsport races, he decided to start producing the model. Buckler manufactured about 500 cars until he became hill and was forced to sell the company, in 1962. The company was closed by the new owner after the production of a relative small number of units.
