The first generation Captiva is based on the GM Theta platform, and was inspired by the Chevrolet S3X concept car of 2004.
Known internationally as Captiva, the model has been badged in South Korea as Daewoo Winstorm up until 2011 and in Australasia models are badged Holden Captiva.
