Review
The 165 is a concept by Caterham that was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
It uses a modified three-cylinder 660cc turbocharged engine from Suzuki with 80hp and 79lb-ft of torque (107Nm). Caterham Technology & Innovation modified the engines for better fuel economy and lower emissions.
It claims that the new car will be the lightest Caterham ever.
The name 165 comes from the planned 160hp per tonne power-to-weight ratio for the car, and the "5" indicates that it meets EU5 emissions regulations. In some markets a version called the Seven 160 is sold that does not meet EU5 emissions.
