Citroën brought the C-Elysée sedan to the Paris Motor Show 2012. Citroën has no plans to sell the car in Western Europe, but it is meant for emerging markets. It will be sold in the Mediterranean basin, China and Russia at first to gauge demand.

To make the car appeal to the emerging markets, Citroën gives the car a relatively high ground clearance, underbody protection and attaches the body panels with extra screws. It has a relatively long 2.65m wheelbase and 120mm of rear knee room.

Power comes from one of three engines. There are the petrol VTi 72 and VTi 115 and the diesel HDi 92.

The C-Elysée goes on sale first in Turkey at the end of 2012, and is built in Vigo, Spain.
