Toyota Corolla (Japan, 1966-1970)

Toyota unveiled the first generation of the Corolla in 1966 in Japan, also known as the Corolla E10 (series). When the company thought of this car their goal was to gather quality build, economic efficiency and stylish design lines into one sole vehicle.   Along with a standard model, a fastback and the “Sprinter” versions were introduced as well. By the time Toyota stopped producing the first generation Corolla, in 1970, it had become the second best selling imported car in the United States.
