The 1.4 liter ecoFlex engine produces 120hp and 175Nm of torque. It also features start/stop tech. The engine becomes available on the rest of the Corsa lineup later in 2012. The engine uses 5.5l/100km and produces 129g/km of CO2. It comes with a five-speed manual transmission. The transmission allows a top speed of 195km/h and acceleration to 100km/h in 10.3 seconds.
The five-speed transmission in the car is also new. Opel created new shift rods and fork shafts for it, and it claims that the engine will perform better in cold and warm weather. The transmission will also expand out to the rest of the Corsa line this summer.
