Dacia presented in 2010 the Dacia Ice as its car to participate at the Trophée Andros ice-racing championship's Silhouette class. The Dacia Duster Ice is an adapted version of the Duster SUV.

The Duster was adapted according to technical rules which restrict the use of complex, costly technologies. In order to become competitive Dacia has opted to produce a simple yet ingenious package in line with the spirit promoted by the brand.

The ice-racing version of Dacia Duster has been enhanced with the help of Renault Sport Technologies. Concealed by the car's glass fibre skin, the tubular chassis is powered by a three-litre 24-valve V6 350hp engine, developed by the Renault-Nissan Alliance. This engine has been enhanced in order to maximize performance at the high altitudes visited by the series.
