The modern version of the Dodge Challenger is a 2-door coupé muscle car which started being produced by Chrysler's brand Dodge in 2008. It was simultaneously presented at the Chicago Auto Show and Philadelphia International Auto Show.

The new version shared common design elements with the first generation Challenger, although it was significantly longer and taller. The chassis is based on a short wheelbase version of the LX platform.
