The 212 Export is the competition version of the 212 series model. It was powered by the Colombo V12 engine with a larger displacement, at 2562.51cc and featured a new chassis with a more rigid undercarriage, in order to withstand the 150hp of the engine.

Vittorio Marzotto won the Targa Florio and the Taruffi-Chinetti team came first in the Carrera Panamerica with the 212 Export.
