The Italian automobile brand Ferrari is a high-performance sports and race car as well as supercar manufacturer that was founded in 1929 by Italian racing sponsor Enzo Ferrari. It is headquartered at Maranello, near the province of Modena, in Italy. Today, the Fiat Group holds a 90% majority interest in Ferrari.
The brand is synonymous with motorsport, in particular Formula One racing, and is widely recognized for its Cavallino Rampante or "Prancing Horse", a black prancing stallion which is the symbol of the Italian brand.
