About
The 131 Racing (marketed as 131 Sport in Germany and Austria) was launched in 1978 and was powered by a 2-litre 4-cyclinder twincam engine, the same used in the 132 model. This power unit delivered 115 hp and accelerated the car to a top speed of 180 km/h.
The bodywork was derived from the 2-door Mirafiori. However, changes were made, such as two halogen headlights were added in front, wheelarch strips and a spoiler and two external rearview mirrirs. The interior was also updated with a sporty look.
