The new Punto is bigger than the previous Punto and shows a sporty design. In terms of safety the Grande Punto achieved five stars in the EuroNcap crash tests and has the option of up to six airbags. In 2009 the Grande Punto was renamed and redesigned as Punto Evo.
The Punto Evo 1.3 Multijet Dynamic S&S is 5-door hatchback that produces 85hp and 190Nm of torque. The 1.3-litre four-cylinder diesel engine is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission and has a top speed of 172km/h.

In 2005 Fiat launched the Grande Punto to celebrate the successful Punto supermini. The first three generations of the Punto had sold over six million units, and the Grand Punto should mark a new beginning for the model.
