For 2011 the Nissan GT-R received several enhancements including improved engine output and torque, greater fuel efficiency, revised handling, a refreshed exterior with improved aerodynamics, revised interior treatment and new wheels and tires.
Since its debut in December 2007 the GT-R design is continuously being developed further by Nissan. The changes in the revised 2011 GT-R gave the model greater body stability and strength, improved aerodynamics performance, a sportier interior and enhanced performance.
The engine under the bonnet of the GT-R has had its power enhanced to 390kW(530ps) at 6,400rpm with maximum torque of 612Nm from 3,200 to 6,000 rpm. Thanks to the modification in the boost pressure of the turbocharger, valve timing and air mixture ratio, reducing intake air resistance by enlarging the inlet pipe diameter, and reducing exhaust air resistance through use of an enlarged section of exhaust pipe the fuel economy has been improved to 8.5 km/l.
