Manufactured in Hinckley by Ultima Sports Ltd, the Ultima GTR is a sports car which is described by commentators as a supercar. Launched in 2000 the model can be sold in kit form or can be assembled by the factory and is the successor of the Ultima Sports.
The mid-engined vehicle has a rear wheel drive layout, with a tubular steel space frame chassis and GRP bodywork.
The turnkey cars are all fitted with the Chevrolet small block V8 supplied by American Speed mated to either a Porsche or Getrag transaxle, although kit builders are free to source and fit a variety of engines and transmissions.
