Review

Honda Jazz's second generation premiered in 2008 with more interior space, better functionality and more powerful, more frugal engines, in a more contemporary design. This generation offers new 90 PS 1.2-litre and 100 PS 1.4-litre i-VTEC engines and the option of a 6-speed automated manual transmission on the 1.4-litre engine.

With Honda's VTEC variable valve timing technology, the new 1.2 and 1.4-litre four-cylinder engines are connected to either a 5-speed manual transmission or, on 1.4 models, Honda's i-SHIFT 6-speed automated manual transmission which includes steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Just as the Insight and Civic Hybrid models the Jazz Hybrid are also able to run on electric power only but only at medium and low speeds.

In terms of design the Jazz hybrid features revised headlights, with a blue surround, clear rear lights, new front grille, restyled bumpers and a chrome tailgate garnish.
