Introduced in the market in 2011, this Hyundai Veloster 1.6 Blue Confort is the 1st generation of the subcompact model. Powered by a straight 4 1591cc engine this version achieves up to 140 hp and a maximum torque of 166.699996948 nm. The Veloster 1.6 Blue Confort is equipped with the best engine of this series. It makes it the most powerful version in the line-up. This fixed-head coupé is able to reach a top speed of 201 km/h, boosting from 0 to 100km/h in 9.7 seconds. This vehicle is the fastest version of this series. It has the highest top speed in the line-up. For the vehicle with front wheel drive configuration, power is transmitted to the wheels by a 6-speed manual transmission. The subcompact-version produces 137 g/km of CO2 emissions. It has a combined fuel consumption of 5.9 l/100km. This Hyundai is the most fuel-efficient out of the series range. It is in fact the one with lowest fuel consumption. Unveiled at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Hyunday Veloster is a compact sports car which began sales in the summer of 2011. The model came to occupy the empty spot left by the Tiburon when it was discontinued in 2008.
The model differs from its competitors for example by having one door on the driver side and two on the passenger side. The Veloster uses the new BlueLink system from Hyundai, similar to the OnStar used in GM vehicles.
