The Hyundai Veloster 1.6 Premium DCT was launched in 2011. It is the 1st generation of the subcompact model. Powered by a 1591cc engine, the model variant has a power output of 140 hp. When looking at the fixed-head coupé specifications, the performance values simply stand out. It is in fact the most powerful version in the series. This Veloster 1.6 Premium DCT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h. The engine is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It features an average fuel consumption of 6.4 l/100km that translates into 145 g/km of CO2 emissions.

Unveiled at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Hyunday Veloster is a compact sports car which began sales in the summer of 2011. The model came to occupy the empty spot left by the Tiburon when it was discontinued in 2008. The model differs from its competitors for example by having one door on the driver side and two on the passenger side. The Veloster uses the new BlueLink system from Hyundai, similar to the OnStar used in GM vehicles.   more
