The ISDERA autobahnkurier 116i was presented in 2006 and its design is inspired by the Streamliners of the 1930s. E. Schulz, CEO of ISDERA, chose this elongated design to accommodate two engines under the long bonnet - a project that he had in the back of his mind since 1984. The car uses components of the Mercedes W 126, two V8 engines by Mercedes-Benz and features automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.
The autobahnkurier 116i made its debut at the AvD-Concours d' Elegance in Schwetzingen. Only one car was ever produced, it is not for sale and remains property of ISDERA.
