JBA MOTORS was originally JBA Engineering. Named after the first letter of the surnames of the three founding partners Ken Jones, John Barlow and Dave Ashley, the company was established in 1982. One of the founders later left the company and JBA Engineering continued to produce kit cars until the company was sold in 2004. JBA Engineering ended the production of kit and factory built cars until it was eventually dissolved in 2007.
2008 marks the year of JBA MOTORS's resurgence aiming to bring back the JBA Falcon.
