The Jeep Patriot is a compact crossover SUV introduced in 2007. The model made its debut in April 2006 at the New York Auto Show. It is placed between the Compass and Liberty in the Jeep model range and amongst the cheapest SUV crossovers on the market. As the Compass, the Patriot is based on the DaimlerChrysler/Mitsubishi GS platform. The vehicle is available as 4-door Jeep wagon with front engine, front-wheel or four-wheel drive layout.
