The Jordan Motor Car Company was founded by Edward S. Jordan, in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, in 1916. The Company dedicated to car assembly using components from other manufacturers. Jordan’s become known because of their elegant style, design and bold colours, but they were not amongst the most technically advanced cars of their time. In 1927 the Company launched a new model, a luxury compact, that was a flop. This failure, coupled with the onset of the Great Depression and the fierce competition among US car builders led to the demise of Company. Production stopped in 1931.
