The third Generation of the Renault Laguna was revealed to the public in September 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it went on sale in October 2007.
The Coupé Version was intended to compete with models such as the Peugeot 407 Coupé and the Volkswagen Passat CC. It was first presented as a concept car based on the Renault Fluence at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2007 and the production version was revealed at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008. The Coupé was then presented to the general public at the Paris Motoor Show in October 2008.
