The MKX was launched at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.

This vehicle is the basis of a future global model based on the Ford Edge. The MKX became the first ever Lincoln concept to be unveiled outside North America.

The design of the MKX is an evolution of the compact SUV MKC and is a vehicle with balanced proportions highlighted by the large shoulders, sloping roof and 21-inch rims. The vehicle also features LED headlights and a new approach to double winged Lincoln grille, where the headlights now seem to float within the grille.
