The Elite features a front-mid positioned 5.0 litre V8 engine that delivers 620 PS. Drivers can expect this Lotus to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.7 seconds. It features a slick retractable hard top and the optional use of hybrid technology with KERS. Lotus used the dictionary definition for elegance to describe it.

At the Paris Motor Show 2010 Lotus unveiled five new models, the Eterne, the Esprit, the Elise, Elite and the Elan, that were to reach the market over a time span of five years. The Elite is predicted to launch in spring 2014.
