Developed with the project name Project Eagle, the Lotus Evora was launched at the 2008 British International Motor Show.

The Evora is the first all-new vehicle platform from Lotus Cars since the introduction of the Lotus Elise in 1995. The coupé sports car is offered in both 2 and 2+2 configurations and is powered by a Lotus-tuned 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 280PS at 6400 rpm.

In 2011 Lotus launched a more powerful version of the Evora: the Evora S. This variant is powered by a 350 PS 3.5-litre V6 engine.
