The Marauder (or Mercury Marauder) was produced by Mercury, a division of Ford Motor Company, that was founded by Edsel Ford (son of Henry Ford), in 1939. In 1945 Mercury was combined with Lincoln the new division being named Lincoln-Mercury Division. Marauders were large, reliable, luxury automobiles, two and four doors, and were offered between 1963 and 1965 and again in 1969 and 1970. There was an attempt to revive the name in 2003 and 2004, but the name was once more dropped.
