Marussia Motors was founded in 2007 by former racing driver Nikolay Fomenko, Efim Ostrovsky and Andrey Cheglakov. In December 2008, the company launched the first model, the B1, and established itself as the first Russian super sports car manufacturer. Current president of MaRussia Motors is Nikolay Fomenko who is at the same time engineering director of Marussia Virgin Racing.
