The Matra Bonnet was a modified version of the Djet, a sports car produced René Bonnet, founder of Automobiles René Bonnet in 1962 after the takeover of this company by Matra in 1964. The car was produced until 1967. During this period its name was changed several times (René Bonnet Djet, Matra Bonnet Djet, Matra Sports Djet, Matra Sports Jet) the name Bonnet being dropped in 1965.
