Launched in 2006 at the Bangkok Motor Show, the BT-50 is a 1-ton pickup truck manufactured by Japanese automaker Mazda.

The first generation was also sold as Ford Ranger, a model with which the Bt-50 shared its Duratorq/MZR-CD 2.5 L and 3.0 L Diesel straight-4 engines.

Mazda unveiled a second generation of the BT-50 at the 2010 Australian International Motor Show. Based on the Ford Ranger (T6), the BT-50 was designed by a Mazda team based at Ford Australia's design center in Melbourne, although both brands worked independently.
