Special Operations (MSO) is celebrating the company's achievement in the 1995 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, when five McLaren F1 GTRsF1 GTRMcLaren F1 GTRUnited Kingdom, 1995 > present5 photos
crossed the finish line in 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th positions. To signal the 20th anniversary McLaren revealed the first details of a special edition 650S Le Mans650S Le MansMcLaren 650S Le MansUnited Kingdom, 2015 > 2015 which will be limited to 50 units. The design was inspired by the McLaren F1 GTR #59.

The 650S Le Mans was created by the MSO in consultation with Peter Stevens, iconic designer of the McLaren F1F1McLaren F1United Kingdom, 1992 > 19986 versions

, which states that this special edition adds a modern touch by combining the iconic McLaren F1 lines with the most recent groundbreaking technologies.

The special edition will keep the same engine as the 650S650SMcLaren 650SUnited Kingdom, 2014 > present10 versions

, with 650hp of output and torque of 678Nm. Thanks to it the 650S Le Mans can reach 100km/h in three seconds and a top speed of 333km/h.

The look of the limited edition model features several elements in carbon fiber, including the front splitter and rear bumper. The coupés also get MSO's side blades and the rear diffuser. The unique design of the limited edition Le Mans stands out with the help of exterior painting metallic Sarthe Grey and detailing in orange through the "Le Mans" logo in the wheels and on the extremity of the door blades.

The interior has been widely covered in leather and black Alcantara with two sports seats with the central area in orange Alcantara. The Le Mans logo was placed in the headrest of each seat and on the exclusive mats.
