History

Production of the 28/95 hp started in 1914 and ended ten years later. A total of 590 cars were built, which is a substantial number at the time. This car that later become known as “Super Mercedes” marked a shift in the Mercedes. The costumers of the brand were longer aristocracy members, but emerging personalities from different fields of arts, politic and science. The wide spectrum of clients was also due to the fact that the car had three different wheelbase versions and wasn’t restricted to large saloons or open-top touring cars.
