ZX40 was launched in 2005. This low-speed all-electric vehicle is actually manufactured in China and it’s the first Chinese-based car to comply with (and according to Miles, to exceed) the NHTSA Standard 500 Regulation. Miles actually imports the vehicle and assembles the drivetrain, the engine and its accessories. In 2008, a new version with fastest acceleration was launched, the ZX40S.
