The GMC Acadia is a full-size crossover SUV based on the GM Lambda platform. The vehicle is marketed in the USA since 2006, and in Canada since 2007. For the 2011 model year a luxury version of the Acadia, badged as Acadia Denali, was launched.

The vehicle features front-or all-wheel drive and offers seating for eight passengers. The car achieves a 4,500 lb (2,042 kg) towing capacity and stands between the Envoy and the Yukon in GMC's line-up. The Acadia is equipped with GM's High Feature LY7 V6 engine producing 275 hp (205 kW) and 251 lb-ft. of torque (340 Nm). The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
