Michael Schumacher set the day's fastest times at the second day of Formula 1 testing at the Jerez Circuit. Yesterday's top driver Kimi Raikkonen dropped to fifth.
These results further show that the game is afoot in testing. Schumacher was in last year's Mercedes because the team decided that it wanted to further develop this year's car and skipped the first test. It is hard to even comprehend that this year's Red Bull is more than .5 seconds slower than last year's Mercedes.
Schumacher's lap was on the new Pirelli tires so that Mercedes could ascertain the change in performance.

Raikkonen seems to be taking all the laps he can to get used to Formula 1 again. The last two days he has been among the drivers doing the most laps.
