Gazoo Racing will be campaigning two GT-86's and a LF-A in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring that runs from May 17-20.
It will be the first time that the GT-86 has competed in the race. It will be in the SP3 class using its standard 2.0l boxer engine with 200PS. One car will be made up of drivers who have competed in past 24 Hours of Nürburgring and VLN races. The other car will be campaigned by drivers from the Japanese Super GT series.
The LFA will compete again this year in the SP8 class with more than 500ps from its 4.8l engine.
Gazoo has an extensive reputation for tuning and race prepping Toyota models. It created a limited edition of high performance Toyota iQs and has prepped the LFA for Nürburgring competition since 2008.
Gazoo has also prepped a GT-86 for the first round of the All Japan Rally Championship on April 6. It produced a video about the car that you can see below. The rally car wears the same livery as the car that will race at the Nürburgring.
