Abarth will be presenting at this year’s Geneva Motor Show a new exclusive Abarth 500 695 Tributo Ferrari. With this new car Abarth and Ferrari are consolidating the links between the two brands that share the same passion for performance, racing soul, attention to detail, besides the Italian style.
The new Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari has received a number of stylistic changes, but the most significantly changes can be found on the engine that has been enhanced by both Abarth and Ferrari engineers.
A 1.4 Turbo T-Jet 16v features under the bonnet of the luxury sports car and has been tuned in order to develop a total of 180 hp. The engine has been combined with an MTA (Manual Transmission Automated) electromechanical gearbox with race-inspired steering wheel controls. Thanks to the reduced gearshift times this transmission makes the best use of the engine’s performance.
The performance tyres on 17’’ alloy wheels featuring a design inspired by Ferrari wheels help to improve the performance of the 695 Tributo Ferrari. In order to cope with the extra power, the suspension and braking systems have also been strengthened. This special edition features Brembo 305 mm disc brakes that can be dismantled with fixed four-piston caliper disc and special shock absorbers. Designed to improve engine performance and sound over 3,000 rpm the 695 Tributo Ferrari has been fitted with a “Record Monza” variable back-pressure “dual mode” exhaust.
The new Abu Dhabi and Titanium Grey colors complete the outside of the car (also available in Scuderia Red and Modena Yellow). Carbon fibre door mirrors, wheels and front air intakes are finished in Racing Grey.
Just like the exterior, the interior of the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari can be customized and demonstrates the sporty flare of both brands. The “Abarth Corsa by Sabelt” seats, which are in grey leather on the Abu Dhabi Blue version and in natural leather on the Titanium Grey version, both with shell and seat base in carbon fibre are an example of that.
On the Titanium Grey version the black leather steering wheel is characterised by a tricolour hub and leather inserts and has been fitted with with MTA gearshift paddles. The instrument panel has been specially made by Jaeger and was inspired by typical Ferrari instrumentation.
Further detailing includes the Scorpion logo located on the racing pedals and the special kick plates and a plate which indicates the vehicle series number.
