, its latest sports car, is limited to 500 units for its Launch Edition and gets additions like carbon fiber trim and an exclusive matte Carrara White paint color. The first buyer of the car from Switzerland, France, Germany, the Netherland and Italy were invited to Balacco, Alfa Romeo’s test track, and got to lap the track with Alfa’s test drivers.

Alfa Romeo’s European boss Carlo Vignon and the 4C’s designer Alessandro Maccolini welcomed the buyers. Alfa Romeo also invited former racing driver Nicola Larini who won the 1993 DTM Championship at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti155 V6 TI DTMAlfa Romeo 155 V6 TI DTMItaly, 1993 > present3 photos
. Larini gave each buyer a passenger lap around the track in a 4C.

All of the buyers put their orders for the 4C Launch Edition in at the Geneva Motor Show, which is a good thing because orders for the 500 Launch Edition cars were filled within 10 days of opening.

The Launch Edition is available in either Alfa Red or Carrara White. It gets carbon fiber trim around the headlights, spoiler and mirror covers. It has Bi-LED headlights with exclusive 18in front and 19in rear wheels. Each car has “Launch Edition” stitched on the steering wheel, handbrake and sport seats

The Balaocco test track has important automotive history itself. Autodelta, Alfa Romeo’s official racing arm in the 60s, was headquarter at the track and developed the famous Tipo 33Tipo 33 Gen.1Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Gen.1Italy, 1967 > 197712 versions
