The new version will be sold starting in June with a limited production volume.

The new R8 LMX is equipped with the latest laser headlamps technology. The new headlights, which operate at speeds above 60km/h, provide a white light with a color temperature of 5,500 Kelvin, making it an important addition to the standard LED headlights.

"The transfer of the laser headlight to the Audi R8 LMX reinforces our leadership position in lighting technology," said Audi's Development Director, Ulrich Hackenberg.

The R8 LMX is powered by a more powerful version of the 5.2 liter V10 petrol engine. According to Audi, the R8 LMX can sprnt to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 320km/h. In terms of consumption and respective CO2 emissions, the German brand states that these values remain unchanged at 12.9l/100km and 299g/km.

Scheduled for release in June, the R8 LMX will have a limited production of 99 units, making it an even more exclusive vehicle. In Germany the base price of the vehicle will be 210,000 euros.
