will be sold in the UK with three engine options. 

The Trax is Chevrolet's entry into the compact SUV market that is growing in popularity. The little truck is just 4.248m long with a 2.555m wheelbase and 1.776m wide. The chassis comes from the Chevrolet SonicChevrolet SonicUnited States of America, 2011 > present37 versions

but offers a higher ride height, five-person seating, car-like handling and available all-wheel drive. 

The interior of the Trax is meant to be functional. It has several storage bins including an area under the cargo floor. The rear of the Trax offers 358l of cargo space or 1,370l with the rear seats and front passenger seat folded down. 

“Trax is poised to make a big difference in practicality and character of small SUVs on sale in the UK. It is a car designed to meet the needs of this growing market by delivering true SUV looks, practicality, safety and space, with car-like handling and all-wheel-drive," said Andy Higgins, Managing Director of Chevrolet UK.

The engines in the UK will be the 1.6-liter petrol, 1.4-liter turbo petrol with 140hp and 200Nm and 1.7-liter diesel with 130hp and 300Nm of torque. The 1.4-liter and 1.7-liter are available with all-wheel drive. The system sends 100% of the power to the front wheels most of the time, but when the front wheels slip up to 50% of the power can be sent to the rear. The 1.4l and 1.7l are also the only engines available with an optional six-speed automatic transmission. A six-speed manual with start/stop is standard on all models. 

In the UK it will be offered with two trim levels: LS and LT. The basic trim has 16in wheels, air conditioning, remote locks, rear parking sensors, fog lights, automatic headlights and Bluetooth. The LT adds 18in wheels, a rear camera, dimming rearview mirror, leather steering wheel and Mylink infotainment system that includes a 7in touchscreen with navigation.
