to China later in 2012, and to inaugurate the car entering the market, Chrysler brought a styling concept that it calls the 300 Ruyi to the show. Ruyi means 'as you wish' in Chinese, and the car gets exclusive trim inside and out.
Like all 300s in China the Ruyi is powered by the 292hp, 3.6l Pentastar V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission, but the devil is in the details. The Ruyi comes with a very dark grey paint that Chrysler calls Maximum Steel with dark chrome trim on the door handles grill surround and lower grill. The Chinese character for Ruyi is on the rear deck lid. It wears 22in, 10 spoke wheels with polished fronts and darker details.
The dark chrome theme is carried inside where it is used as trim around the navigation system, instruments, door handles and steering wheel. It used other dark metal trims around the shift gate and center console. The seats are custom to the Ruyi and feature light-colored leather with suede inserts and contrasting stitching.
Chrysler is not saying whether it will actually build a 300 like the Ruyi for the Chinese market, but it is meant to show what a flagship 300 would be like inside and out. The standard 300 will enter the Chinese market later this year, and Chrysler is promising that it will offer high class wood trims and leather to the market.
