Land Rover Launches Discovery and Range Rover Special Editions

Land Rover is launching three new special edition cars at the New York Motor Show – two based on the Range Rover and one based on the Discovery. 

The Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Special Edition is more than just a mouthful to say. It comes exclusively in Santorini Black with silver-finished roof rails, mirror caps, hood logo and the grill is a mix of body color and silver. The rear has similar silver details on the tailgate and 'HSE Luxury' badge. The edition comes with 10-spoke, 20in wheels. 

The interior comes in ebony or ivory leather with a leather instrument panel, armrests and door pulls. There are also wood veneers and thick pile carpet. The interior also gets an 825W Harman/Kardon stereo with 8in screens in the back of the seats for rear passengers with wireless headphones. 

The special edition comes with the 256hp SDV6 diesel with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. 

The Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Special Edition will be on sale in the UK in July for £56,995.

The other special edition Land Rovers are the Range Rover Sport HSE Red and Range Rover Sport HSE Luxury. Both will be on sale in June for £58,020 each. 

The Red edition comes in Firenze Red, Orkney Grey, Fuji White or Santorini Black. All of them come with red accents with a Santorini Black grill with a silver surround. The Red edition also comes with 20in wheels. Inside, it is available in Pimento Red, Cirrus, Lunar Grey or Ebony. Power comes from a 255hp 3.0l SDV6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission. 

The Luxury Edition has 20in, five-spoke wheels, more leather on the interior, heated steering wheel, and the 17 speaker, 825W Harman Kardon stereo. 

All of the cars are on display at the New York Motor Show despite none of them being offered in the US.
