. The process forced Land Rover to evaluate the entire environmental impact of building a single Evoque, running it for 200,000km and recycling it. It is the first time that Land Rover has received this type of certification, and it is one of the few automakers to go through the process.

as the test vehicle. It first had to evaluate the raw materials used to create the Evoque and its assembly including transport. To be more sustainable, Land Rover uses recycled materials to create the moldings, engine bay components and fabrics. The headliner is made entirely from recycled material. Like many modern manufactures, Land Rover uses paint booths that do not let solvent emissions into the environment.

Life cycle assessment is a core part of our engineering practice and we have launched a new interactive website dedicated to life cycle assessment, so customers can better understand all of the sustainability attributes that Land Rover offers," said Bob Joyce, Group Engineering Director for Jaguar Land Rover.
